A Short Biography On Scott Cao
In the world of music, one of the most famous and probably the classiest instrument would be none other than the violin. Of course in order to be able to be a maestro with this type of musical instrument, the instrument has to be world class and made by a really good luthier or violin maker. One of the most famous luthiers in this field is none other than Scott Cao who hails from the land of China.
In the seventies, he was an apprentice luthier in China when the reign of Mao Ze Dong was happening. After the heat of the cultural revolution, he moved to America in order to further continue his career in violin maker. Later on, he moved back to China to practice independently and then went back to California.
Now during the middle of the seventies when general Mao Ze Dong was in the middle of executing his very famous cultural revolution, mister Cao was living his life as a humble farmer. Since he was born in that kind of class, he lead a very simple life and did not know anything else except farming. However, fate took a little twist on to his life when a violin making teacher visited the area.
Because of this famous violin maker, he was able to find something that he really enjoyed and pursued this sort of career. Some time after he was offered apprenticeship, he attended the Guangzhou Institute of Professions where he further learned about string instruments and how to make them. In the year 1977, he got his diploma from this school and continued to pursue his luthier career.
When China finally opened its borders, mister Cao was able to get out and find a new life in the United States of America. In America, he actually decided to study under several master luthiers such as Hans Weisshaar and Roland Feller. All of these masters were able to teach him how to repair and make not only violins but other string instruments.
When he honed his skills and almost perfected them, he found a business partner named Hideo Kamimoto and partnered with him in opening up a store that sold good quality string instruments like violins, cellos, and others. After some years, he decided to create his own brand which is Scott Cao Violins. His store caters to those violin enthusiasts who would want quality instruments but at a very affordable price.
Eventually, he decided to permanently go back to America and open up a shop there in Campbell, California. During this time, he actually entered many violin making contests wherein he won a lot of awards. In fact, there are so many violinists who use the violins of mister Cao.

He was so good that even his copies of the famous Stradivarius was praised by music enthusiasts.
