One has to go to the office of the Bureau of Investigation since they are responsible for managing the Crime Information Center of the state. A name search can be conducted by paying the $20.75 processing fee. Only employers and investigators are allowed to conduct a fingerprint search. The search can be completed within the day it was requested if there is no problem with the search but it can take up days even weeks should there be issues and conflicts in the retrieval process.

Online retrieval of a criminal record is now possible in the state of Georgia. This made the search convenient and hassle free and proves to be time saving for most users. One can search for an arrest records for free, however, many prefer to pay for the services to get accurate results.
