Carbon dioxide is a combination of oxygen and carbon molecules which are covalently bonded together. At standard temperature and pressure, C02 is a gas though it can be altered to other forms. The creation of carbon dioxide is typically as a result of respiration, sugar fermentation or even the burning of coals and hydrocarbons. The Chicago CO2 has been used for various applications below being some of the main ones.

This compound is required when creating carbonated soft drinks and soda water. C02e which is a product of fermentation process is essential when making wines and beers. Usually, the intoxication value in beers and wines depends on the amount of recycled CO2 content.

Under its liquid form, CO2 can be also used as a fire extinguisher. Fire extinguishers containing this compound are able to extinguish non-flammable and electrical fires as combustible fires can easily restart if exposed to atmospheric oxygen. This substance is also broadly used as an extinguishing agent in fire protection systems though it can cause deaths if released in high concentrations.

Manufacturers in chemical industries as well need CO2 to produce methanol and urea. Producing metal carbonates, carboxylic acidity materials and bicarbonates would also need the use of this substance. It works to enhance the chemical production route as it can easily bond with other compounds to create useful products.

The compound is also an important agent in refrigeration devices. Food industries require this compound when transporting their foods in the frozen form to reduce rotting. At its solid and liquid forms, carbon dioxide is usually below negative seventy eight degrees Celsius which means there are no bacteria or any other living organisms that can survive at such temperature.

Recovering oil products would as well need the use of CO2. When added into oil wells, CO2 facilitates the reduction of the residual saturation of the oil which leads to increased oil production. This is because carbon dioxide is a pressurizing agent that can lower the viscosity of the crude oil to affect the surface chemistry which boosts oil production.

CO2 also facilitates the occurrence of various biological processes. For instance, photosynthesis can never happen in absence of CO2. Green houses would also not be effective CO2 was not a main component. This is because this compound has the ability to boost photosynthesis which enhances the growth of plants leading to better performance.

Knowing some of the applications of Chicago CO2 enables people to have a clue on why CO2 makes a great difference in their day to day life. This is attributed by the fact that, carbon dioxide can be used in various apparatus that each person would need on daily basis but some people may not know it. As such, they may not know the dangers associated with using such products which can be a great threat to your life. It is for this reason people would always need to know the above given applications of carbon dioxide to ensure they better their daily living.
